With great expectations Padel was introduced at TEZ Enschede. In a demonstration match played Valeria Pavón, ranking 3 PPT, Noelia Marquez ranking 10 PPT and member of the Spanish National Team, Majo Alayeto, European Champion 2009 and member of the Spanish National Team and Marta Utor, Junior Champion of Catalunya. The match was analyzed and commented live by Padel coach and sports entrepeneur Norberto Nesi.
It was a fantastic demonstration where expectators could see all aspects of the padel sport. With style and charm they contaged TEZ members and special guests with their passion for Padel.
Later, Valeria Pavon and Majo Alayeto excepted the challenge of the TEZ tennis trainers, Vincent Eleveld and Robbert Pots, to play a match. The ladies won, easily, 6-2 6-1
During two years volunteers, members of the direction of TEZ Enschede, the Municipality of Enschede, Sportsboulevard Enschede, Oranjewoud, Ten Cate and University Twente worked on the introduction of Padel to Twente.
Padel is a great new attraction for TEZ and Twente. It is a new outdoor sport and a new opportunity for the youth and all the community of Twente to stay in shape or get involved with sport at the TEZ Enschede sport association.
