In response to a growing demand for information about padel in the Netherlands, a group of enthusiastic entrepreneurs and padel fanatics created last year a national padel federation.

The Nederpandse Padelbond (NPB) is the governing body that deals with the organization and promotion of the padel sport in the Netherlands. Its activities are non-for-profit and are funded by member contributions, sponsorships and donations. The Nederlandse Padelbond was founded in November 2010 and it is fully functional since November 2011.

The main goal and mission of the NPB is the further promotion of Padel in The Netherlands. The NPB will achieve this by creating national competitions, setting up clear rules for the construction of padel courts, certifying padel coaches and obtaining membership at the NOC/NCF and the International Padel Federation.

The NPB was founded by Norberto Nesi (chairman 2011-2013) and Abel Gilsing (Secretary). Jorn Jacobs (Treasurer) and Mirjam de Graaf (Communications and Policy Advisor) are also members of the board. Further, the bond is supported by an advisory committee which includes Jorge Nicolini (legendary international padel coach) and Lucas Eslava (former world top 30, pro padel player).
